Are you trying to be more sustainable in your creativity?
We increasingly desire to use environmentally friendly fibre and yarn to protect our planet.
My mission is to provide sustainable fibre and yarn with a small carbon footprint for all your beautiful, imaginative projects.
I only use British wool yarn spun in Yorkshire from British breeds. The yarn is dyed using mostly homegrown plant dyes based on plants grown for thousands of years to create the range of colours that date back to at least the Bronze age.
My flock of rare breed Portland sheep are blade shorn to produce sustainable, eco-friendly fibre and yarn, which is also dyed using home-grown plant dyes to create beautiful natural colours.
Don’t know how much yarn you will need? Then read my latest article on how to estimate the amount of yarn you will need based on the type of scummy wool you are looking at.
I want to encourage everyone to have a go at different crafts, whilst being environmentally sustainable, hence my series of blogs.
To keep up the sustainable theme everything is packaged in recycled card or paper before being sent to you. This is not only good for the environment, it is also the best way to keep your woolly supplies.
Happy Crafting
