Romney wool is a lovely durable yarn. It comes from sheep that originate from the Romney Marsh in Kent. It is soft but strong. It is great for jumpers and hats and gloves. It is not ideal in close contact to the skin (although I do have a scarf made from it).
Remember that it is machine washable, with a wool detergent on a wool wash. Add a bit of hair conditioner to the final rinse for extra softness.
