British Bluefaced Leicester salmon pink sock yarn naturally dyed with Madder. It is great for making socks, cowls and scarves, whether knitted, crocheted or woven. Personally, I love using it.
Please note the spinning mill changed the processing and now sell 4 ply yarn instead, which whilst similar has a slight but noticeable weight difference. This is the end of the sock weight yarn. If there isn’t enough for your needs, please look in the 4 ply / sock weight category.

The Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is a longwool breed of sheep which evolved from a breeding scheme of Robert Bakewell, in Dishley, Leicestershire in the eighteenth century. This breed is raised primarily for meat to cross with other breeds to create mules.
BFL sheep have curly, fine, lustrous wool which is one of the softest of the UK clip. The fleeces are not very heavy, only weighing 1 to 3 kg. It spins up beautiful to create this lovely soft, but strong yarn.
Please note that although every effort is made to represent the actual colours it may be affected by different screens. If there any issues with an order, please contact me so we can work something out.
